It has been almost a month but I made it back! After nearly two and a half years of living here without having returned to the states, I decided to make the trip to see my family. It was great to see mom and dad and little brother, and it was mexican food and BBQ every other meal! But it was also dropping into the 20s at night, windy and chilly during the day with a palate of grays and browns everywhere I turned.
I have been in Bluefields for nearly 24 hours and the birds are chirping, the greys and browns have turned into blues and greens and I had dinner last night for fifty cents! Oh how I have missed it!
If you are a regular to my blog, you may have noticed a few changes. I moved from blogger to wordpress. I gave it a more professional look. I changed the name. There are still loooads of kinks to work out, but little by little I am getting there. I also bought a new computer and camera so I plan to have much more photos and video to share! Things are looking up!
I hope the new year brings you all the things you have been working hard to accomplish. And I hope that it brings you to the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua, sooner rather than later. After a winter of grays and browns, you appreciate more the colors on the other end of the spectrum!
