Help document Nicaragua’s Grand Canal route before digging starts

If you haven’t heard of it yet, it’s the Grand Canal of Nicaragua. The largest engineering project in history, it will be 3x larger than the Panama Canal and construction is slated to start in December.

It will plow through 7 natural reserves/parks and slice in half the land of the indigenous Rama people, but it will also cut two days off shipping time compared to the Panama Canal!

I am documenting what lies in its path before construction starts.

Check out the link and tell me what you think.

Bonus for all of you who read this far!

Check out this info of the Panama Canal including a cool map from 1901 of the previous Nicaragua canal plan I hadn’t seen until today.
