This proud figure stands tall with a baby on her back, pounding husk off the rice as Miskito people have always done.

Measures approx. 3″ x 10″ tall
Weighs approx 1.25 lbs

All of these sculptures are hand carved by Bluefields artist Jose Padilla and his son from a solid block of Nicaraguan Rosewood. The wood is left unstained and unvarnished but is finely polished to reveal its natural beauty which will be enjoyed for generations.
