The Snook (Robalo in Spanish) is a common (and tasty) saltwater fish that spawns in the rivers on the Caribbean coast. It is a staple on the dinner plate in the region.

Measures approx. 12″ x 4″
Weighs approx 1.2 lb.

All of these sculptures are hand carved by Bluefields artist Jose Padilla and his son from a solid block of Nicaraguan Rosewood. The wood is left unstained and unvarnished but is finely polished to reveal its natural beauty which will be enjoyed for generations.
